No KM journey is truly a solo journey.

This week, in the Knowledge Management Global Network (KMGN) course "From Strategy to Impact", we hosted three inspiring guests: Ved Prakash, John Hovell, PMP, CKM , and Andrew Herd, who demonstrated how the global KM community can support each of us in our journey from strategy, through change, to business impact.

Three resources particularly stood out.
🤝 Ved showcased KMGN itself.
Beyond being a network, KMGN is a practical enabler. It allows us to:
• Learn from a rich collection of resources, projects, and events.
• Connect with peers and experts when facing challenges or seeking advice.
• Draw inspiration from ideas already tested by others and actively participate in collaborative initiatives.

🗺️ John presented the Global KM Map.
One of the most powerful KM frameworks I know. Whether designing a KM strategy, planning a roadmap, or building infrastructure, the map helps us understand what is included in the KM domain, what methods and tools are appropriate, and how the pieces connect into a coherent whole.

🏞️ Andrew shared the KM Landscape initiative.
A collaborative effort that helps us better understand and refine KM terminology, concepts, and relationships. Beyond creating a common language, it can also support the design of KM deliverables, methodologies, and solutions, helping us be more precise in what we build and communicate.

One reflection I am taking away from the session:
The value of a professional community is not measured by how much knowledge it contains. It is measured by how much knowledge its members help each other create, refine, and apply.

And perhaps even more importantly:
Every one of us benefits from the community.
Every one of us has something meaningful to contribute back 🌱
