What if the global KM community could all meet in one place?

Yes, we would all love an airline (or perhaps another generous sponsor!) to make it possible for Knowledge Management professionals from around the world to gather, learn, and advance our profession together.
Until then... we will keep doing what the KM community does best: collaborating and finding creative ways to make great ideas happen.
During today's KM Global Week steering meeting, we explored several ideas that any KM community could adopt:
š” Join existing KM events to increase visibility and participation.
For example, celebrate KM Global Week alongside your national or regional KM forum.
š Invite international speakers.
One expert from each continent could lead a session in a country where KM activities are still emerging.
š¤ Partner with neighboring KM communities.
Countries with similar languages or cultures can organize joint events, share speakers, and leverage each other's strengths.
š¤ Connect with conferences.
Extend the impact of existing conferences by organizing KM Global Week activities inspired by or linked to conference themes.
Once again, we were reminded that when we come together and allow ourselves to imagine, ideas that once seemed unrealistic suddenly become achievable.
If you want to advance Knowledge Management in your organization, country, university, or professional network, now is the time to start planning an activity for KM Global Week, October 19ā23, 2026.
We would love to hear what you're planning and help connect ideas, people, and initiatives across the globe.
Let's make it happen. š
