Not Only Me + AI, Now Us + AI

Up until now, most of us have already experienced the value of GenAI in our personal knowledge work. We have used it to find information, reveal hidden insights, draft ideas, and even co-create knowledge with a non-human companion.
But this evolution also shifted us quietly from team thinking to individual thinking. Each of us interacted alone with the machine.
OpenAI’s new Group Chats capability, announced on November 20, 2025, introduces a different direction.
For the first time, GenAI steps into a shared space for groups supporting collaboration rather than replacing it.
It is still in its early days
Yet even now it hints at a new format of team–human + AI collaborative knowledge work.
People thinking together, contributing together, and having AI support the group rather than only the individual.
We do not know yet where this will lead us.
But as these capabilities grow almost daily, we can expect new and more engaging forms of Human AI synergy that may reshape how teams create, discuss, and manage knowledge.
