Innovation does not begin with agreement

🧩 This week’s session in the Knowledge Management Global Network “From Strategy to Impact” course, led by Arthur Shelley, focused on the fundamental connection between collaboration, culture, innovation, and business impact.

🔄 One of the strongest insights discussed was that innovation is often born not from alignment, but rather from managed disagreement and constructive friction — safe and respectful conversations where different perspectives challenge one another and question assumptions, creating new possibilities together. A powerful reminder that the journey from KM strategy, through change management, toward real business impact depends not only on processes and tools, but first and foremost on the culture we foster every day.

🧠 And perhaps the most thought-provoking takeaway:
knowledge sharing should not remain only a means to support business strategy — it can, and should, also help shape future strategic thinking by surfacing insights, opportunities, and perspectives organizations might otherwise miss.

🌍 At the end of the day, our ability to fly high depends not only on what we know, but on the collaborative culture that allows knowledge to grow, flow, and create impact together.
